India AS I See 2024 Showcase Your Skills and Love for the Nation

The yearly India AS I See 2024 contest returns to excite young brains and foster patriotism as India draws near its 78th year of independence. This online contests for student in India, which will run from 16th July to 15th August 2024, invites students from grades 3 through 12, especially Children with Special Needs (CWSN), to show their passion for the country by art, poetry, and essays.

India As I See aims to:

• Get students develop a feeling of patriotism
• Try to reach creative abilities in students using painting or writing or any other form of art.
• Ensure that students have an opportunity to display their talents and endeavor in their projects at the national level.

The contest is divided into three categories, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020:

1. Paint India
2. Power of the Pen
3. Sacred Freedom

Each category offers age-appropriate themes, allowing students to explore various aspects of India's rich culture, history, and future aspirations.

For Grades 3-5 & CWSN:

• Paint India: National Symbols, Favourite Indian Foods, or Use only 4 colors of The National flag
• Power of the Pen (Poetry): Naye Bharat Ki Asha or National Symbols
• Sacred Freedom (Essay): The National Flag and Its Meaning or The National Animal and Its Significance

For Grades 6-8 & CWSN:

• Paint India: Swachh Bharat or Freedom Struggle
• Power of the Pen (Poetry): National Symbols or Unity in Diversity
• Sacred Freedom (Essay): Ayurveda in Modern India or Significance of Khadi

For Grades 9-12 & CWSN:

• Paint India: Cultural Dresses or Achievements of Modern India Since Independence
• Power of the Pen (Poetry): Unsung Warriors (Women) or Nation First Always First
• Sacred Freedom (Essay): Atmanirbhar Bharat or Role of Youth in Nation Building

Significance of the Themes

The topics are wisely chosen and provoke students into such a close contact with India’s past, present, and possible future. These issues include: understanding and analysing national symbols and patriotic concepts, as well as the role of youth in the construction of the nation’s future, such topics encourage young people to think about their responsibilities as prospective members of society.

Younger students get a basis of national pride by learning about symbols that represent India and appreciation of culture through elements such as preferred Indian cuisine. Students of middle grade will be required to make a balance of modernity and tradition while analyzing Ayurveda in present day India. • For Paint India: Create a collage of national symbols using eco-friendly materials, or design a futuristic interpretation of traditional cultural dresses.
• For Power of the Pen: Write a dialogue poem between two national symbols, or compose an acrostic poem using "INDIA" or "FREEDOM".
• For Sacred Freedom: Write a letter to a freedom fighter describing modern India, or create a fictional diary entry of a youth leader working towards nation-building.
