India As I See Essay Writing Contest School Student 2024

Running from July 16, 2024, till August 15, 2024, India As I See boldly announces its annual Essay Writing Contest School Student as India enters its 78th year of independence. Students in grades 3 through 12—including Children with Special Needs (CWSN)—are invited to explore and share their ideas on freedom and national identity using the power of words.

Three categories comprise the Essay Writing Contest School Student, each geared at a particular age group and meant to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a greater awareness of India's rich cultural legacy and future goals.

Grades 3-5 and CWSN: The National Symbol Challenge.

The essay contest presents our younger participants with two fundamental emblems of Indian identity: the National Flag and the National Animal, the Bengal Tiger. These subjects give kids a great chance to explore the meanings behind some significant national icons.

The National Flag topic lets students investigate the meaning of the Ashoka Chakra and the hues of the tricolour, therefore tying them to India's past and values. Young authors might talk about how the saffron stands for bravery, the white for truth and peace, and the green for wealth and expansion.

The National Animal theme challenges young people to discover the significance of Bengal tigers in Indian ecosystems and cultural mythology. Students could write on environmental initiatives, the tiger's part in preserving ecological balance, or its appearance in Indian literature and art.

For this age range, creative ideas can be:

  • Picturing a chat with the Bengal Tiger or the National Flag

Grades 6-8, CWSN: Bridging Tradition and Modernity.

The Essay Writing Contest School Student offers students two fascinating subjects: the Significance of Khadi and Ayurveda in Modern India. These topics inspire students to think on how significant old customs and symbols still are in modern India.

The Ayurveda subject lets students explore the ancient Indian system of healing and its increasing appeal all around. Essays could go into how Ayurvedic ideas might be included into contemporary medicine, their function in encouraging holistic wellness, or their possible solution for present medical problems.

The Khadi topic is an opportunity to investigate the continuing relevance of this hand-spun cloth as well as its historical significance. Students could write about Khadi's environmental friendliness, part in modern Indian fashion and commerce, or contribution to the freedom cause.

For this category, creative ideas could be:

  • Suggesting an Ayurvedic remedy for a contemporary health concern

Grades 9–12 and CWSN: Shaping India's Future

Two forward-looking subjects—Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) and the Role of Youth in Nation Building—challenge the current generation of students. These topics inspire young people to consider India's future and their role in forming it carefully.

The Atmanirbhar Bharat issue challenges students to investigate India's efforts in several spheres towards self-reliance. Essay Writing Contest School Student could go over ways to reach financial independence, the prospects and difficulties in important sectors, or the harmony between self-sufficiency and globalising.

The topic on the Role of Youth in Nation Building lets students consider how their generation might shape India's future. Writers can look at creative answers to national problems, talk on the value of civic participation, or suggest fresh approaches for young people to help India grow.

For this area, creative ideas could be:

  • building a manifesto for a national development project headed by young people
  • developing a thorough plan for making a particular industry self-reliant.
